Carrick Social Club Burglarized

A city firefighter is accused of entering a social club he was formerly a partner in and stealing $1,000, according to Pittsburgh police.

John Farah, 32, was charged on Thursday with burglarizing the Carrick Lit Club, a members-only social club located on Copperfield Avenue. The arrest followed a review of surveillance video that allegedly shows Farah entering the club last Sunday morning while it was closed. The money was removed from a safe, according to the complaint.

Farah ended the partnership in the club in 2013 after he was hired as a Pittsburgh firefighter. Current owner Donald Huntley did not change the combination to the safe after the partnership ended.
