The Mt Oliver Fire Department is holding its annual Lenten Fish Fry in 2021. It will be held from afternoons from 3:00 until 7:30 PM on Wednesday, February 17, & every Friday of Lent.

This is the closest Lenten Fish Fry to Carrick.

Seating is not available.

Food is take out only. Orders can be placed for curbside pickup by calling 412-431-5210 (which is their usual non-emergency number). Delivery is available for Mt Oliver residents & local senior high rises.

The main attraction of the Mt Oliver Fire Department Fish Fry is a fish or shrimp dinner with cole slaw & one or two sides – fries, mac & cheese, or stewed tomatoes. Crab cakes, their new Maryland-style crab cakes, cheese sticks & onion rings are also on the menu.

The kids meal consists of a small fish sandwich or half shrimp order, one side, a juice box & a treat.

Credit & debit cards are accepted.

The fire department’s Lenten Fish Fry was canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic but was reworked this year to provide a safe event. The Allegheny County Health Department encourages fish fries to offer take-out only service with advance phone orders to hold down the sizes of crowds & limit possible exposure to the coronavirus. Face masks are required.

The Mt. Oliver Fire Department is located in Mt Oliver Borough at 120 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210.
